Downtown Steamboat Springs - The downtown area of Steamboat is affectionately known as “Old Town” to locals and includes many historic homes, as well as an eclectic mix of quaint, neighborhood charm. Living in Old Town is truly convenient to walk out your door and within 5 minutes you’re biking or strolling in and out of the shops, restaurants, galleries, or checking out the latest action at the Bud Werner Memorial Library.
Fish Creek Falls Steamboat Springs- The Fish Creek area is between downtown and the mountain. This area consists mostly of single family homes, with a smattering of condos and townhomes. Fish Creek homes run from entry to multi-million dollars homes. The Steamboat Springs High School, along with the Strawberry Park Middle/Elementary School campuses are located on the edge of the Fish Creek area.
Steamboat Mountain Area- Located at the base of the world class ski resort – Mt. Werner. This diverse blend of homes includes a variety of property, starting with condominium residences, ski-in /ski-out, townhomes, single-family homes in addition to nearby luxury neighborhoods such as Priest Creek Ranch and Dakota Ridge.
West of Steamboat Springs - This area six miles west of Steamboat Springs consists of the Steamboat II, Heritage Park, and Silverspur sub-divisions. The area includes a nine-hole golf course and a private school. This is the area of focus for the West of Steamboat city expansion.
Strawberry Park -Is the neighborhood North of Steamboat that includes multi million dollar single family homes nestled in a spectacular rural setting. With easy access to the top of Buffalo Pass, you are close to the top of Spring Creek and Soda Mountain hiking and biking trails. The area is also home to Perry Mansfield Perfoming Arts Camp, Lowell Whiteman school and the Strawberry Park Hot Springs.
Hayden - The town of Hayden offers a great small town living environment with an easy 25 mile commute west of Steamboat Springs. Our Hayden office is located right on Highway 40 and has detailed information about the entire Hayden market
North Routt- The North Routt area offers a beautiful alpine setting for both year ’round residents and quiet, secluded second homes. Steamboat Lake State Park, Hahns Peak Village and Clark offer a wide variety of unique amenities. Clark is a 30-minute drive north from the center of Steamboat Springs, while traveling further north to Hahn’s Peak adds another 20 minutes, but well worth the drive!
South Routt- The South Routt area begins roughly 25 miles south of Steamboat Springs and contains the historic towns of Oak Creek, Phippsburg, Yampa, and Toponas. These towns are surrounded by national forest, large ranches, and smaller 35 acre subdivisions. They are served by the South Routt School District, known as SoRoCo. The High School is in located in Oak Creek, while the Elementary School is located in Yampa. The communities have a strong tradition in mining, railroading, and tourism.
Stagecoach - The Stagecoach area, located south of Steamboat Springs, is showcased by Stagecoach Lake State Park. In the past few years a number of new subdivisions have been completed, offering a wide variety of housing options. The lake has plenty of camping, a great trail system around the lake, and plenty of day-use areas around the lake complete with grills and picnic tables and is 20 miles from Steamboat.
Moffat County- Moffat County is 40 miles west of Steamboat Springs. The largest city in Moffat County is Craig. Coal mining, ranching, and the oil and gas industry drive the economy in Moffat County. At the far west edge of the county is the remotely beautiful Dinosaur National Monument. The Colorado Group Realty Hayden office serves all of Moffat County.
